Waterford has long been recognized as the heart of Oakland County. In the 1980's and 90's, much of the success of the Summit Place Mall Complex was attributed to the geographic location of Waterford, not too far from any community in Oakland County. Though the thriving days of the Summit Place Mall are gone, the innovation and opportunity for business and entertainment development can ever be present further here in Waterford Township. John Paul is a Public Administrator by trade and education. Not only has he been an overseer of budgets in the tens of millions of dollars, but he also has a Masters of Public Administration with an emphasis in State and Local Governments. John Paul has a vision for Waterford that would eventually include a downtown district. This could be a hub for business and community development, and an opportunity to make Waterford an even more attractive place to live.
